For all the people who are waiting for the Linux 2.6.34 kernel for Ubuntu the wait is over.
The kernel is available for Ubuntu Lucid right now, the downside is that you have to compile it yourself, the upside there’s an article for that.

Update WordPress Plugin: AVH Amazon v3.3
On May 20, 2010 I released version 3.3 of my WordPress plugin, AVH Amazon. The major change is the fact i dropped support for WordPress version 2.7 and below.
The AVH Amazon plugin gives you the ability to add multiple widgets which will display one or more random item(s) from your Amazon wishlist, baby registry and/or wedding registry. It also has the ability to show an item with its link, in posts and pages by use of shortcode.

New Forum Software
After a long time debating with myself, I decided to pull the trigger today and change my forum software from phpBB to Simple Machines Forum. The main reason I switched software was the amount of spam I received, both posted and through reporting but the difficult installation of modifications and the not SEO friendly URL’s were other reasons.

How to compile a Ubuntu Lucid kernel
Ubuntu Lucid was released in April and I have been writing articles on “How to compile a kernel for Ubuntu …” for a few releases and there is no exception for Ubuntu Lucid.
The Ubuntu kernel developers have decided to change things up yet again for the Ubuntu Lucid kernel. The steps in this article will be significantly different from previous Ubuntu releases.
But enough with the small talk, let’s start compiling our own Ubuntu Lucid kernel.
