A new version of git is released. I created the package for Ubuntu Jaunty and you can install it by adding my repository.

To add my repository to your system:

Goto System -> Administration -> Software Sources
Click Third-Party Software
Click Add
Fill in the APT line: deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/pdoes/ppa/ubuntu jaunty main
