Amazon launches the Kindle 2

Today Amazon announced the arrival of the second generation Kindle.
With a sleek and thin design that makes Kindle 2 as thin as a typical magazine and lighter than a paperback, the new Kindle has seven times more storage and now holds over 1,500 books. It has a longer battery life and faster page turns. An advanced display provides even crisper images and clearer text for an improved book-like reading experience. And Kindle 2 even reads to you, with “Read to Me”, our new Text to Speech feature.

The Kindle Store has over 230,000 e-books available, so you will definitely find something to your liking.

Amazon is going Green

Amazon Go Green
Amazon is one of the latest companies to jump on the green bandwagon.

They created a cross-category program that includes a list of products that customers have selected as the best green products offered by Amazon.com. It’s a place for customers to discover Amazon’s entire green product selection.

I do believe it’s important to help reduce the pollution so head over to Amazon and buy yourself some compact fluorescent light bulbs, stop using the plastic grocery bags and use reusable grocery tote bags which beside being eco-friendly or also a lot stronger. These are just two small suggestions, go see what else they have to offer, you’ll be surprised what you can do to help out.
